Hi, I'm Sam. I make games under the name Lazy Genius.
Right now, that means Incremortal: an incremental idle game about living, dying, and coming back a little wiser and more capable each time. You gather, craft, learn skills and queue up your day. When a life ends, the instincts of what you learned carry into the next one. The game is built in Godot and is currently two acts long, with a small group of testers playing through the newest act while I keep tuning it.
How I work: I'm a designer, not a programmer. I write the design, the story beats, the tooltips and the pacing rules, and I direct an AI coding assistant (Claude/Fable) to build it. Every mechanic, number, and line of text still goes through me. Most of my time goes into playing the builds, writing up what feels off, and ruling on the fixes. Art (ChatGPT) and sound (Suno/ElevenLabs) are a mix of custom work and online sourcing (attributable MP3s mostly).
Test builds go up here as they're ready. If you play one, I'd genuinely like to hear what dragged, what confused you, what you wanted more of, and what you enjoyed the most.
